Maps

All the dolls in my collection were made in what was once known as  the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which comprised the six republics of Serbia, including Kosovo and Vojvodina, Croatia,Slovenia, Macedonia,Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Yugoslavia so defined ceased to exist in 1991 with Croatian and Slovenian independence and the remaining republics followed suit over time so that today the map looks like this:

As of February 2019 the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia/ Republic of Macedonia is now known as the Republic of North Macedonia. I will add an updated map when one becomes available.

After some thought I decided to call my blog Yugoslavian Folk dolls because all the dolls I collect were made when SFR Yugoslavia still existed.

The maps I have used come from the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia website.
