Croatian dolls

This 8" male stockinette over wire armature doll, made in the 1950's, wears a costume from the Prigorje region around the Croatian capital Zagreb in the country's northwest. The Prigorje costume is a popular one and is often found on the general range of souvenir dolls from Croatia available to collectors. He wears a long white shirt and red belt with white pants which are tucked into leather boots. His felt hat and vest have red and white detailing and he sports a red neck tie.
