Slovenian dolls

This female doll stands at approximately 12 inches and is wearing a folk costume from the Gorenjska region in Slovenia. It is the only type of Slovenian doll Narodna Radinost produced and it is generally the folk costume worn by Slovenian souvenir dolls made by other companies as well. Narodna Radinost did not opt to produce the umbrella which sometimes accompanies other Slovenian souvenir dolls. Noteworthy features are the full white headdress with colourful ribbon and the shawl which is decorated with a simple floral design. A metallic belt made of small links is worn at the waist with a plain coloured bow. In other Slovenian souvenir dolls the bow is often in the colours of the Slovenian flag (white,blue and red). Her shoes are nicely made out of blue leather.
