Small dolls

Narodna Radinost of Belgrade distributed dolls in a variety of sizes and the dolls pictured here are  the small 5" ones (See the picture at the end to get a sense of the sizes).

The Kimport Doll Company only featured the 8" size in the pages of their Doll Talk catalog but the Mark Farmer Doll Company catalogs did offer these small dolls for sale. By and large I have found the 5" dolls not as easy to find as the 8". Their size perhaps makes them less of a display item and more likely to be played with and so more susceptible to being destroyed or lost. When I do find them they are most often the female dolls from Serbia ( Picture 2 far right) or the Konavle Croatian female dolls (Picture 3 far right). Bear in mind  I only collect the earlier Narodna Radinost dolls and the smaller ones from later years are easier to come by.
