Serbian Dolls

This is a 12" male doll wearing a folk costume from the Sumadija region of Serbia. I have featured the 8" version elsewhere on this blog: 8" Serbian dolls

He is a wonderful doll dressed in a navy woollen felt vest and pants with a black hat and brown leather opanci on his feet. Stand out features for me are his woven bag with Narodna Radinost tag attached, colourful belt and the embroidery on his shirt front. The vest is also very well made with cord detail and some red felt inserts.
